Rat Among Us
This is a project I worked on during the 5. semester of my studies with a team of 4 people.
We used Unreal Engine 4 to realize this project and I took the role of the programmer.
It took about 4 months to finish the project.
The game is an async multiplayer game with 3-4 players. The players try to steal a crown from a museum, the twist of the game is that 1 player is actually a rat and has to stop the other players from stealing the crown.
In this project our team focused heavily on game design in which I also took a big part. The game design was especially challenging as we had to combine an async multiplayer with a traitor mechanic which was pretty tricky.
The focus on complex game design required also game systems that supported our rapid prototyping methods. Because of that I improved my skills of writing flexibel and efficient code.
