Hunt together. Die alone.
Hunt Showdown is a competivite PvEvP multiplayer shooter that takes place in the swamps of louisana. Hunters from all over the world take bounty contracts to banish scary creatures back to hell. But as only one team can get the reward for a bounty, monster are not the only enemies in the swamp.
I joined the development of Hunt Showdown in 2017 and helped to ship the title to Early Access in Feburary 2018. After that I worked on multiple big updates and was part of the full release in August 2019. Since then the game received more updates and is still active today.
During my time working at Hunt I was part of the roughly seven people sized gameplay programming team and worked in close collaboration with them. I took ownership of multiple player related systems with the weapon system being the biggest of those. I activly developed new features for the game in example the bullet penetration system and the sticky projectile system.
New system were always build in close collaboration with game and technical designers to ensure good workflows for designer usage and flexibility for future updates. Designers were able to work with the system through either our internal visual scripting system Schematyc or a property tree based data editor.
